Proper use and maintenance of press felt is critical to extending its life, reducing and eliminating unplanned downtime, saving costs and reducing consumption.
1. Before getting on the plane
(1) Check whether the package is complete.
(2) Check whether the product number, specification, square meter weight, etc. marked on the mark are the same as the order content.
(3) Open the package to check the appearance quality and size of the felt, verify the product number and check the running arrow.
2. On-board installation
(1) Clean the relevant parts of the paper machine.
(2) Look at the front and back of the press felt and its running direction.
(3) Prevent oil stains and hard objects from damaging the felt.
(4) Put an end to hard pull and strong pull.
3. Dry running
After the new press felt is put on the machine, after a certain time and pressure pre-compression air operation, it can not only wash off the floating hair on the surface of the felt, improve the flatness of the surface of the felt, wash off the oil stains when replacing the felt, and improve the compactness of the felt ,so that the air permeability of the felt is closer to that of the paper machine.
(1) Evenly flatten all parts of the felt.
(2) Water evenly and fully wet the felt.
(3) Properly tension the felt.
(4) Check the flat state of all rollers and felts.
(5) Apply a certain pressure.
(6) Paper machine crawling.
(7) Re-tension the felt.
(8) Apply pressure to normal pressure.
(9) Wash (or about 3% hot alkaline water) to soften the felt.
(10) Turn on the washing water and vacuum system.
(11) Depending on the surface state of the felt, adjust the degree of surface shaping of the felt by singeing.
4. Pulp and paper production
(1) Do the preparations before pulping.
(2) Adjust the tension of the felt to the normal state in time after the pulping.
(3) Ensure that the line pressure on both sides of the press section is consistent and adjust the line pressure in time.
(4) Ensure the normal operation of the vacuum system and washing system.
(5) Observe the running status of blanket wholesalers and adjust them in time.
(6) Prevent pulp lumps and broken paper from entering the nip or felt.
5. Daily maintenance
(1) Prevent second-class felt from discounting, uneven wear, uneven washing, and accidental damage.
(2) Correct use of high-pressure water, fan-shaped water, and vacuum washing boxes.
(3) Strengthen the continuous washing and regular washing of the leftovers of the felt, and use chemical detergents rationally.
(4) When the downtime exceeds four hours, wash the felt and relax.
