Common Method for Surface Treatment of Stainless Steel Wire
One of the commonly used methods for surface treatment of stainless steel is surface natural color whitening treatment.
During the processing of stainless steel, it undergoes rolling, edge binding, welding, or artificial surface fire heating treatment, resulting in black oxide skin. This hard gray black oxide skin is mainly composed of two EO4 components, NiCr2O4 and NiF. Previously, hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid were commonly used for strong corrosion removal. However, this method is gradually eliminated due to its high cost, environmental pollution, harm to human health, and high corrosivity. Currently, there are two main methods for treating oxide skin:
| (1) Sand blasting (shot blasting) method: It mainly uses the method of spraying micro glass beads to remove the black oxide skin on the surface. |
| (2) Chemical method: use a non polluting acid pickling passivation paste and a normal temperature non-toxic cleaning solution with inorganic additives for immersion cleaning. So as to achieve the purpose of whitening the natural color of stainless steel. After treatment, it basically looks like a matte color. This method is more suitable for large and complex products. |
