Dewatering Element Vacuum Suction Box Cover

In paper making, dewatering elements are important equipment in the wet section of paper machines and are mainly responsible for dewatering. According to the different parts of use, they can be divided into: vacuum suction box cover, low vacuum suction box, vacuum suction box. The vacuum suction box cover is mainly located in the dehydration area of the net. It is the first component under the breast roll net of the paper machine. Its function is to help the water on the pulp on the forming fabric to be quickly discharged through the vacuum effect, thereby accelerating the paper forming process. The vacuum suction box cover is in direct contact with the forming fabric and absorbs water through the openings or notches on its surface to ensure the rapid forming and uniform dehydration of the pulp.


The role of the vacuum suction box cover on the paper machine

(1) Help the pulp to dewatering quickly: When the pulp passes through the forming fabric, the water in the pulp is quickly extracted through the vacuum effect, reducing the retention of water on the forming fabric and improving the dewatering efficiency.

(2) Stabilize the paper: During the dewatering process, the vacuum box can better shape the fibers and reduce the movement of the fibers on the forming fabric, so that the structure of the paper will be more uniform and stable.

(3) Improve the strength and quality of the paper: Dewatering can help improve the dryness, strength, uniformity and surface finish of the paper, which is very important for high strength packaging paper, cultural paper and other paper types.
